Farewell Morten

BSA’s Director of Performance, Morten Frost, announced his new job as Performance Director of Team Aarhus on Friday morning, 8 October, at a press conference in Denmark.

He will carry on until the end of November. His new job will start 1st December and is located in the second largest city in Denmark. Some will see it as competition to the Danish BA, but he prefers to see it as a healthy dialog. He will work for an association of clubs in Aarhus and his job will be to create a strong badminton environment, that will see the area firmly established as the place to be, should you want to play badminton in Denmark. He aims to be a supplement and a strong link to the Danish BA.

“It is a great opportunity for me and it will give me a platform to build the remaining part of my working life in Denmark, something I have been eager to do for some time. My family and I have been debating our future base and have for quite some time decided that we would like to go back to Denmark, when the opportunity presented itself.”

“I hope this explains a bit around the background in which the decision has been based. Thanks a million to all you players for your great support and the faith you have showed me. We have come a long way since we started 3 ˝ years ago and I am so very proud to watch you play every day. Please accept my explanation of my Danish up bringing and how difficult it is for an ‘old’ dog to change its ways.”

We thank Morten for everything that he has done and meant for our badminton in SA. Hopefully we as players together with BSA will be able to build on the structures and systems that he implemented.
